I can't walk but I am loved~ Jem Jem

Jem Jem was rescued by a male stray feeder in a factory in Ayer Rajah. Jem Jem was warded with a vet. Jem Jem has a huge wound in the backside and was treated with hydrogen peroxide which further aggravate the wound. The feeder wanted to put down Jem Jem.

When I approached Jem Jem, he was extremely affectionate to me and I was touched. I told the feeder that I would adopt him.

I took Jem Jem to another vet for a second opinion. Jem Jem gone through a second surgery with the second vet. His wound did not heal and the stitches gave way because there was not enough skin to cover the wound.

Someone recommended Jem Jem to go to a third vet for a review. The third vet told us not to be ‘a cat hoarder’. In other words, don’t expect a miracle to happen. Unless, Jem Jem was sent to Australia. I was affronted by the vet’s attitude and tone and took Jem Jem home with me.

Mei Mei and I started to treat Jem Jem on our own. Miracle did happen and the wound healed! A girlfriend of mine who was with us at the third vet wanted to to bring Jem Jem back to show him that a miracle had happened. I told her that it is not necessary as there is nothing to boast of except the kindness, determination and love of Mei Mei and myself.

I am loved cos' I am special

Though the hole in my pocket is much bigger than that on his backside after all the treatments. I feel great that it has helped to heal Jem Jem. Though Jem Jem lost the ability to use his hind legs, his fighting spirit continues to be an inspiration.

I am 14...and loved

I am 14...and loved- Mo Mo

Eye Mo Mo was picked up by a friend, C.S. The stray feeder used human eye medication on Mo Mo’s eyes. Mo Mo was brought to me 7 years ago and her eyes was infected and bleeding at times.

She used to be an extremely unfriendly cat. She hated medical attention and would scream at the top of her voice when other cats approached. I have been scratched by her for more than 50 times. But I have never given up on her. Never once.

Mo Mo eyes are still having bloody secretion. Love has touched Mo Mo, she is tamed and will response to me. At the age of 14, when I hear her cries, my heart will ache.

However, I am comforted by the fact that she knows she is loved.

Update: Mo Mo eyes are deteriorating and we are all trying to make her feel comfortable at Blessing Home.
